Meet Dr. Rhea Hill, LCSW, BCD, MAC

Rhea Hill, DSW, LCSW, is a seasoned mental health professional with more than 25 years of experience supporting individuals across diverse settings, including community mental health, crisis services, veterans’ care, and substance use treatment. She is the founder of Empowered Solutions Counseling and Consulting in Atlanta, Georgia, where she provides virtual therapy to individuals and couples.
Dr. Hill’s approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and grounded in evidence-based practice. She integrates modalities such as EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT) to support clients in navigating life transitions, healing from trauma, and building more fulfilling lives. Her work emphasizes collaboration, empowerment, and meaningful, sustainable change.
All services are offered via secure telehealth, providing accessible and flexible care for clients and supervisees. In addition to therapy, Dr. Hill offers clinical supervision for MSWs and LMSWs pursuing licensure, with a focus on diagnostic clarity, ethical practice, and effective clinical intervention.
Dr. Hill is licensed in Georgia, Tennessee, and Illinois and holds advanced credentials as a Board Certified Diplomate (BCD) and Master Addiction Counselor (MAC). She earned her Doctor of Social Work from Simmons University and her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Chicago.
She also serves as an adjunct instructor and is committed to mentoring emerging social workers. Her research interests include mental health access for first-generation BIPOC college students and its impact on academic success.
Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Dr. Hill enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
